About Sodaba
Sodaba takes a warm, compassionate, and strengths-based approach to therapy and believes in an integrative approach of weaving together therapeutic strategies to ensure individualized care. Some of her preferred modalities are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client-Centred Approach, Compassion-Focused, Narrative Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy.
She has experience working with individuals presenting issues ranging from stress and depression, compulsions, family conflicts and separation, posttraumatic stress, multicultural concerns, and Autism and ADHD spectrum symptoms.
Sodaba is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and has an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Waterloo University and is currently completing her Master’s in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Understanding what it is like to live in more than one culture and navigate generational differences, Sodaba aims to use her lived experience and knowledge to help her clients better understand themselves, develop effective coping skills, and find greater meaning in life and relationships. Sodaba sees clients from 16 years old and up, and provides in-person and remote (video/ phone) counselling and psychotherapy.
