About Courtney

Are you experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief or loss, stress, burnout, a life transition, sexuality, or relationship issues? If so, Courtney can help. Having attended therapy herself, Courtney understands the difficulty of coming to counselling and sharing your deepest thoughts, feelings, and conflicts during your most vulnerable time. She creates a judgment-free, empathetic, and safe space where you can be yourself while working with you to find and create solutions towards greater personal growth. Courtney received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) double degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, majoring in Psychology, and Women and Gender Studies (WGS). She went on to obtain her Ontario College Graduate Certificate (OCGC) from Mohawk College, specializing in Brain Disorders Management, and her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Over her academic career, Courtney has professionally worked with many diverse groups of people, including the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI), and victims of gendered violence, such as sex trade workers. Courtney incorporates various psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Gestalt therapy, and person-centered therapy. Furthermore, Courtney integrates holistic principles of mindfulness principles that help you develop effective strategies you can implement outside of the therapy room, leading to a happier and more fulfilling life. She promotes multidisciplinary approaches to therapy and, when necessary, collaborates with other practitioners on the CARESPACE team to develop a comprehensive plan that serves your best interests.
